Recruiter Update - February 2008

DataShaping Recruiter Update

  • We have just published 28 new resumes, see AnalyticResumes.
  • We have signed a contract with a major job aggregator. Our job ads will start being published on this network by the end of February.
  • Our job ads are now available as XML feeds, and can be freely distributed on the Internet. Please contact us if you are interested in a partnership with us.
  • We have created the first social network for analytic professionals. Analytic Bridge (www.AnalyticBridge.com) is a great resource to find passive candidates. You are invited to join and contribute in the various forums. Our featured job ads are listed on Analytic Bridge.
  • Our SAS blog is growing steadily. Our SAS featured job ads are now published on the SAS jobs blog too.
  • Our next job email alert will be published around March 15 (8,000 subscribers. Send us your job ads in time to benefit from our next email blast.

We start 2008 with a number of good news.

Since our last analysis in August, we have gained market share against all our competitors, and we remain #1. Click on the graph below, based on Compete.com numbers, to compare web traffic statistics for the top analytical job boards.

  • 8,000 job searches performed in November 2007
  • 8,000 subscribers to our job e-mail alert
  • 1,000 recruiters in our database
  • 221 filtered active resumes posted in 2007
  • 15,000 monthly visitors on DataShaping.com alone (75% from US, the remaining from Switzerland, UK, Canada, Ireland, India)
  • 18,000 monthly visitors for the entire network, including

  • 1,000 targeted keywords used in our pay-per-click advertising campaigns (mostly analytical job titles)
  • 1,500 job ads on our network, from hundreds of companies
  • Top position on Google, Yahoo, MSN, Indeed for keywords such as data mining jobs or analytical jobs

Recruiter Update from DataShaping

New Offer

We are offering a 15-day extension to any job ad submitted to us before December 15. Any job ad purchased before December 15 will automatically get listed for 75 days, instead of 60 days.

Resume Database

We have added 17 resumes over the last week, many with a Ph.D. in a quantitative field, bringing the total to 221. Our resume spreadsheet has been upgraded and now has clickable links to individual resumes. Finally, we have published instructions on how to use our resume database.

A few Statistics
  • Our job e-mail alert is now sent to 7,700 subscribers.
  • Our Stat Jobs Google group has now 215 members. Job ads can be e-mailed to statjobs@googlegroups.com (include the job title in the subject line; job ads subject to approval).
  • Our LinkedIn group has more than 500 members. Click here if you want to join.
  • DataShaping gets an average of 15,000 visits per month. In addition to DataShaping.com, we have a few other web properties where featured job ads are listed. We have just created a new SAS blog. More on this in the next edition.
